Course Objectives Helping students to understand the theories of using literature in the language classroom, showing how the figurative usage of language in a literary work can expand the students' language awareness and interpretative abilities.
Course Content Selected examples from British and American short fiction will be presented and analyzed by using different approaches to teaching literature (language based approach, stylistics, literature as content)
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students are expected to learn the advantages of using a literary work with a language learner by learning and applying the theories through various classroom activities.
