In accordance with the Regulations for Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Examination of Ufuk University and with the directives for the Department of Health, Culture and Sports; the University’s Medical Faculty Dr.Ridvan EGE Health Research and Application Hospital provides medical diagnosis and treatment services to students as a part of General Health Insurance.
General Health Insurance Affairs
(1)In accordance with the Article 60 and Temporary Article 12 of Law Number 5510 on Social Security and General Health Insurance, all people who are citizens of Turkish Republic or who are dual citizen of T.C. and registered in the quota of foreign nationals have been taken into the scope of General Health Insurance dating from 01.01.2012. Out of our students;
Who are liable to be looked after by family members (mother, father, spouse) are in the scope of general health insurance and their update operations will be done in Social Security Directorates.
(2) Students who come from the countries that signed a social security agreement with Turkey are required to do transactions by obtaining “the document relevant to the right to medical assistance” and giving it to Ankara Social Security Provincial Directorate.
(3) Those who have not any sort of social security and who are not liable to be looked after by family members and who are over 25 are required to apply Social Security Directorate.
(4) For foreign students;
Published in the Official Gazette dated May 05, 2013 No.28661, Law Number 6486 Amendment to Some Laws with Social Security and General Health Insurance and Law no 5510 Social Security and General Health Insurance include:
The seventh clause of Article 60 stating “Foreign students studying in our country are covered by general health insurance if they submit an application within three months as of their enrollment date without seeking for the requirements in the second sentence of the second clause of Article 52 and the (d) subclause of the first clause. General health insurance provisions are not implemented for those who do not submit their applications within this period during their education. They are to pay general health insurance charges designated according to the 30-day total of the one third of their minimum daily earnings depending on the premium set down with regards to the 82th article.”
The sixth clause of the 61st article stating “general health insurance is implemented for those in the scope of the seventh clause of 60th article who submit their applications from the following day of the application and the insurance lasts during the period of study. The general health insurance ends as a result of the reasons put forward in the aforementioned law.” In accordance with these provisions, if they submit their legal applications for general health insurance operations within three months as of the first enrollment date, they are required to apply to Social Security Institution.
