Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to introduce the main concepts of sociology, The theories and the researches that is related with sociology. |
Course Content |
In this course students are introduced with the basic concepts (e.g., social interaction, family, mass media, popular culture, deviance and crime, sociology of body, urbanization) and approaches of sociology |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings;
1.Recognize the basic concepts and researches of the field of sociology.
2.Explain the background and history of sociology
3. Can apply the basic principles of research methods.
4.Explains sociological theories.
5. Uses the sociological perspective of the social world within the framework of ethical principles and values
6.Explains the interdisciplinary dimension of sociology.
7.Have awareness of social and interpersonal problems.
8.Evaluates the events in daily life through sociological concepts and theories. |
