Course Objectives This course considers the mechanisms through which gender is constructed and perpetuated and its implications for different aspects of our lives.
Course Content In this course basic concepts and theories of gender, gender streotypes, gender discrimination and the results of gender roles will be evaluated from different perspectives.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Describing the perspectives of basic theories and approaches that related with gender 2- Explaining the cultural and historical differences regarding gender roles 3- Problem solving by following and critically evaluating the psychological researches related with gender 4- Implimenting the knowledge of gender on different social situations 5- Relating how gender affects the social interaction in everyday life
