Course Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce fundamental concepts and techniques of scientific research and also to introduce research processes and ethical issues.
Course Content The course is an introduction to scientific research methods and techniques in psychology. The characteristics of science and scientific knowledge, scientific research processes, ethics and critical thinking are covered in this course.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Defining concepts related to scientific research methods 2- Comprehending scientific research methods 3- Classifying fundamental research methods and applications 4- Organizing the literature review 5- Discriminate the research question and hypotheses 6- Defining ethical issues and principles of a research process
