Course Objectives To acquaint students with basic research and theory in the area of close relationships and to increase students’ skills in oral expression, critical analysis, and written communication through assignments and class discussion.
Course Content The course will cover research on a wide range of topics in the field of close relationships (e.g., interpersonal attraction, theories of love, marital conflict). The emphasis will be on romantic and marital relationships, viewed through the lens of social psychological theory.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Understanding the current theory and research in the field of close relationships 2- Comparing the reserach which are done in the area of close reletionships 4- Relating how we making attributions and biases in attributions in our relations with the everyday life situations 4- Comprehending gender differences in relationships.
