Course Objectives Introduction of interview techniques, skills and application principles in clinical psychological assessment.
Course Content In this course, first of all, the abilities and skills required to be an effective interviewer are introduced in a general framework. In addition, the content and process of the first interview in clinical psychology are conveyed.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attend the course and are successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Identifies the basic principles of clinical assessment, 2- Recognizes the skills required for clinical interviewers and the importance of developing these skills, 3- Explains the basics of therapeutic relationship, 4- Recalls the principles of professional ethics in the clinical interview process, 5- Defines the critical skills for interviewer, 6- Critically evaluates the interview effectiveness from the transcription samples.
