| Course Objectives |
Introduction of interview techniques, skills and application principles in clinical psychological assessment. |
| Course Content |
In this course, first of all, the abilities and skills required to be an effective interviewer are introduced in a general framework. In addition, the content and process of the first interview in clinical psychology are conveyed. |
| Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attend the course and are successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings;
1- Identifies the basic principles of clinical assessment,
2- Recognizes the skills required for clinical interviewers and the importance of developing these skills,
3- Explains the basics of therapeutic relationship,
4- Recalls the principles of professional ethics in the clinical interview process,
5- Defines the critical skills for interviewer,
6- Critically evaluates the interview effectiveness from the transcription samples.
