Course Objectives Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to examine personality, its development, theoretical approaches explaining them and related concepts.
Course Content Within the scope of the course, Psychodynamic Theories, Behavioral and Cognitive Theories, Research-Oriented Theories, Humanistic and Existential Theories and theorists will be discussed and introduced.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attend the course and are successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1-Explain and define basic concepts of personality. Explain the methods of assessing and researching personality. 2- Describe the emergence of personality theories throughout historical process. 3- Explain the basic concepts of the personality theories that are discussed in the course. 4- Compare the basic concepts and approaches of different personality theories and think critically. 5- Explain how different personality theories approach to human development. 6- Define and interpret main characteristics and concepts of human personality in the light of personality theories.
