Prerequisites In order to take this course it is necessary to students have successfully completed the following course: STAT 105, STAT 106, PSY 210, PSY 306 , PSY 316 and PSY 441

Course Objectives The main objective of the course is introduce and teach all the procedures that needs to be done in the process of research in cognitive psychology (developing research questions and literature scanning, determine method, collecting data and making appropriate statistical analysis and reporting).
Course Content This course include doing research from the perpective of cogitive psychology/neuropsychology and using the appropriate statistical methods in that research. In this course students on their own to be included in the process of doing research from beginning to the end. This course is also required active usage of psychology database and reporting research results according to APA format.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1. Scanning related literarure; identifying basic approaches, research questions and hypothesis; and identifying the contribution of the research 2- Entering the data into appropriate statistical software packages 3- Determining appropriate statistical method according to the purpose of the study 4- Reporting results with scientific language 5- Evaluating and discussing analytically the conducted study 6- Considering the ethical values in the entire process of research to be conducted in psychology
