Course Objectives The aim of this course is to study the nature and characteristics of aggressive behaviours during childhood and adolescence.
Course Content The course includes the theoretical and methodological approaches to the aggressive behaviours. Additionally the reasons of aggression, the characteristics of aggressive children and the vitims, social determinants of aggression and coping with aggression preventive programs to reduce aggressive behaviors are also covered in this course.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Identifying concepts and theories related to aggression 2- Comprehending biological and environmental factors on aggressive behaviors 3- Identifying the diagnostic criterias for conduct disorder in childhood and adolescence 4- Applying the theoretical and conceptual knowledge to improve a preventive/interventive program 5- Reviewing the related literture and designing an research proposal
