Course Objectives The aim this course is to study adolescence period, the current issues and approaches about this period.
Course Content The course includes introducing the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development in adolescence period, reviewing current issues of adolescence literature and to present and evaluate the selected issues.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who completed the course and were successful will acquire the following achievements; 1- Define the theoretical and conceptual approaches of adolescence development 2- Acknowledge the contemporary discussions in adolescence studies 3- Analyse the research methods and results of the selected articles 4- Relate positive youth approach to todays’ adolescents 5- Design reading materials (brochure, booklet) for adolescents, parents or school administrators and teachers
