Prerequisites It is prerequisite for this course that the courses, PSİ 201 Developmental Psychology I and PSİ 202 Developmental Psychology II, must be accomplished successfully.

Course Objectives The aim this course is to study adolescence period, the current issues and approaches about this period.
Course Content The course includes introducing the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development in adolescence period, reviewing current issues of adolescence literature and to present and evaluate the selected issues.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1-Defining the theoretical and conceptual approaches of adolescence development, 2- Reviewing literature about the selected topics, 3- Discussing the selected materials’ research methods and results critically 4- Considering todays2 adolescents from positive youth approach, 5- Presenting the research proposal or preparing reading materials (brochure, booklet) for adolescents, parents or school administrators and teachers.
