Course Objectives The main objective of the course is being in the process of research in which related the topics in developmental and social psychology (developing research questions and literature scanning, determine method, collecting data and making appropriate statistical analysis and reporting).
Course Content This course include doing research from the perpective of developmentel and/or social pysychology and using the appropriate statistical methods in that research. In this course students on their own to be included in the process of doing research from beginning to the end. This course is also required active usage of psychology database and reporting research results according to APA format.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Applying a research from beginnig to the end of the research (i.e., determining a research topic; classifying related literarure; identifying basic approaches, research questions and hypothesis; and identifying the contribution of the research) 2- Determining the methods section of a research (i.e., determining the basic features of the participants identifying the measures, and determining the procedure) 3- Entering the data into appropriate statistical software packages 4- Applying appropriate statistical analyzes suitable for the purpose of the study 5- Classifying and summarizing the results by reportingthem in scientific language 6- Evaluating the work carried out from an analytical point of view, drawing conclusions and identifying relationships 7- Application by considering scientific ethical values in all processes of a research to be carried out in psychology 8- Conducting the research process collaboratively in a team
