Course Objectives The aim of this course is for students to learn how research is planned, put into practice and critiqued. This course aims to develop general research skills that can be done in the field of psychology. These skills can be listed as knowing experimental designs, writing reports, and knowing the ethical standards of research.
Course Content In this course, the basic steps of scientific research and especially experimental methods are explained. In addition, different types of patterns are discussed comparatively in the course.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1. Explains the basics of experimental designs and methods. 2. Lists and defines non-experimental designs, quasi-experimental designs and different types that can be used in research involving experimental designs. 3. Evaluates experimental methods with a critical and analytical perspective. 4. Internalizes the ethical standards and procedures that should be taken into account when conducting a research. 5. Designs an experimental study in the field of psychology.
