Course Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce group psychotherapy concepts, theories and group process stages.
Course Content The content of the course includes group psychotherapy concepts, principles and group process. The formulation of the group process stages (formation of the group, beginning, maintaining and termination), the facilitative and inhibitive factors for communication and group processes of different theoretical approaches are the topics covered by this course.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Defining concepts and theories of the group psychotherapy 2- Comprehending the group psychotherapy process stages 3- Defining ethical principles and applications related to the group psychotherapy 4- Comprehending emotions, thoughts and behaviours related to group psychotherapy experience 5- Applying the knowledge and skills to the real life by experiencing group process
