Course Objectives |
The main goal of this course is to study the education from the beginning to recent years and also to discuss the well-done and fruitless sides of educational politics practiced in various periods; by doing so the students are expected to consider on the current educational system. |
Course Content |
The course titled “The History of Turkish Education” includes studying education as a fact from the earliest times to recent years, introducing its institutional structure; it is also discussed how to use the knowledge learned in solving today’s social problems. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of the semester will acquire the followings:
1. Know the story of Turkish education from the pre-Islamic times to the recent years.
2. Know the educational ideas and movements aiming at finding solutions for the social problems.
3. Be able to use the knowledge learned to construct the future. |
