Course Objectives |
Graduates of the Faculty of Education are expected to have the capacity to carry out the scientific research process. The aim of science and research ethics course is to contribute to educating graduates who are able to recognize scientific knowledge and comply with ethical principles at every stage of the research process. |
Course Content |
Science, the nature of science, its development and scientific research; the concept of ethics and ethical theories; research and publication ethics; unethical practices and ethics violations in the research process; ethical issues related to authorship and copyright; biased publication, editing, refereeing and ethics; ethics of publication and unethical practices during publication process; legal affairs and boards for research and publication ethics; ways to identify and handle ethics violations; common research, violations of publication ethics and methods to prevent them. |

Students;
1. will comprehend scientific research, ethics and ethical theories.
2. will comprehend research and publication ethics and unethical practices and ethics violations in research and publication process.
3. will learn ethical issues related to authorship and copyright.
4. will learn the legal regulations and committees related to research and publication ethics.
