Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to study the nature and characteristics of aggressive behaviours during childhood and adolescence. |
Course Content |
In this course, theoretical and methodological approaches to aggressive behaviour are introduces. In addition, the characteristics of aggressive behaviours in children and adolescents, the characteristics of aggressive and victim children and adolescents, social determinants of aggression and anti-aggression programs to reduce aggressive behaviours are also discussed in this course. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who completed the course and were successful will acquire the following achievements ;
1- Recognize the concepts related to aggression,
2- Explain the biological and environmental factors on aggressive behaviours,
3- Distinguish the diagnostic criteria of conduct disorder in childhood and adolescence,
4- Apply the acquired theoretical and methodological knowledge to develop a preventive/interfering program
5- Design an intervention program for aggressive behaviours in children and adolescence |
