Course Objectives |
In this course, it is aimed to discuss the main theoretical perspectives on delinquency in today's society, the factors that lead to crime, the control techniques used to prevent crime. |
Course Content |
This course will focus on juvenile delinquency, crime control, crime prevention, punishment and juvenile justice system and such issues. Comrehending and analysis of the theoretical explanations of the causes, dynamics, and consequences of juvenile delinquency |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings;
1.Comrehending and analysis of the theoretical explanations of the causes, dynamics, and consequences of juvenile delinquency
2.Examination of the environmental influences on delinquency, as well as prevention of juvenile delinquency
3.Have an increased understanding of the issues of law enforcement related to juvenile delinquency
4.Explainig the juvenile court system and its handling of cases, as well as other methods of treatment of children and adolescents |
