Course Objectives The aim of this course is to evaluate intelligence skills, to develop knowledge about theoretical and practical basic information and limitations in this assessment.This course focuses on the assessment of intelligence for children and adults.
Course Content The theory of intelligence, its history, the basic tests used in the evaluation of intelligence function (Wechsler Scales, RSPM, Stanfort Binet Intelligence Test) and related statistical principles will be discussed and evaluated.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1. The achievements of the students who complete and succeed in this course are as follows; 1. Will be able to define the basic principles in psychological measurements. 2. Explains the psychometric properties of psychological tests. 3. Internalizes the ethical standards and procedures that should be taken into account during the psychological evaluation. 4. Will be able to interpret the results of tests frequently used in adulthood and childhood.
