Course Objectives The main goal of this course is to study the education from the beginning to recent years in the light of philosophical and sociological backgrounds.
Course Content The course titled The History of Education includes studying education as a fact from the earliest times to recent years, in the light of philosophical and sociological backgrounds.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of the semester will acquire the followings: 1. Know the developmental history of education from the earliest times to recent years. 2. Know educational institutions from the earliest times to recent years. 3. Know the people who have left a mark on education. 4. Be aware of the close connection between education and ideas and social structure. 5. Hold a view on the future of education.
