Course Objectives This course covers the identification of unexpected events and strategies for preventing these events within the context of patient safety in health facilities.
Course Content This course includes the basic concepts of patient safety, international patient safety standards, situations that threaten patient safety, medical errors in health facilities and case examples.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who completed the course successfully will acquire the followings: LO-1 Define basic concepts related to patient safety. LO-2 Count international patient safety goals LO-3 Apply strategies for patient safety in working life. LO-4 List medical errors and causes in health facilities LO-5 Discuss situations that threaten patient safety
