Course Objectives This course aims to teach the students the necassary kowledge and skill about protecting and developing the health of family, woman, fetus and neonatal.
Course Content This course provides the students the necessary knowledge and skills about the health and illnesses of the woman in genital system, pregnancy existence, prenatal, partum and post-partum periods; and other periods.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Course Learning Outcomes (LO) The achievements of the students who take this course and successfully complete it are as follows: LO-1. Explain the role and importance of obstetrics and gynecology nursing, LO-2. Recognize the ethical issues surrounding obstetrics and gynecology nursing practices. LO-3. Evaluate the importance of monitoring, researching and examining new developments in obstetrics and gynecology nursing. LO-4. Explain the status and health problems of women in Turkey. LO-5. It evaluate the woman as a whole with her family and environment. LO-6. Evaluate the necessary information to protect and improve the health of women and their families in society. LO-7. Categorizes the necessary information about human reproduction. LO-8. Recognize the health problems specific to the developmental stages of women and know the appropriate nursing roles. LO-9. Recognizes the care needs of the newborn and uses the necessary skills to meet them. LO-10. Obtained knowledge on obstetrics and gynecology nursing can be evaluated in line with the nursing process.
