Course Objectives It is aimed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to identify emergency situations, provide the necessary first aid at the scene in emergency situations and apply the necessary treatment and care in emergency services.
Course Content It is a course that provides the necessary knowledge and skills for first/emergency aid practices and nursing care at the scene and/or in emergency service units in order to protect and sustain the lives of individuals in sudden situations.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who completed the course successfully will acquire the followings: LO -1. Lists general rules about triage and evaluation of the patient at the scene. LO -2. Explains basic life support and steps. LO -3. Applies first aid and emergency care practices in case of emergencies for systems. LO -4. Explains first aid and emergency care practices in trauma. LO -5.Applies the care plan to solve the emergency patient's problems in line with the nursing process. LO-6. Defines first aid and emergency care in eye, ear and nose emergencies.
