Course Objectives This course aims to make the students able to strengthen the ties between the community and universities via using the knowledge and skills; to gain the student's sensitivity about the issues of disadvantaged groups, disabled peoples’ lives, immigration, and disasters; and to increase their awareness through improving humanitarian, social, cultural, and moral values and attitudes with the several volunteering activities.
Course Content This course investigates the notions, works, and interventions about volunteering to make the students participate in communal volunteering activities.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who completed the course successfully will acquire the following: LO -1. Explains the management, organization, and volunteering notions. LO -2. Lists the main volunteering areas. LO -3. Organizes a volunteering activity for a disadvantaged group that lives in the community. LO -4. Performs the volunteering activity which he/she planned in the working area actively.
