Course Objectives Model of transcultural nursing student and be able to comprehend and to different cultural groups within the health care system is to provide appropriate nursing care.
Course Content Health and illness culture, the concept of culture, the culture in health importance and location, world cultures, health, cultural behavior, transcultural health and nursing models, in different cultures, relatives of patients and medical staff relations, global health issues, transcultural nursing concepts and education transcultural approaches, intercultural care include approaches.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who completed the course successfully will acquire the followings: LO-1 Define the concepts of cultural and intercultural nursing. LO-2 List the intercultural nursing models. LO-3 Realize the importance of culture and the effect of cultural values in the care process. LO-4 Gain the knowledge of intercultural care giving by considering the issues of meeting the care needs specific to the culture of the individual/family/community.
