Course Objectives This course aims to investigate the relationship between health, disease, and environment of individuals in the society and It aims to provide knowledge and skills for planning protective and enhancing applications.
Course Content In this course; teaches research techniques to determine appropriate methods for the distribution, causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases or health problems.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of the semester will acquire the following; LO-1 Understands the definition of epidemiology, its scope, areas of duty, and the distribution of tasks in an epidemiological study. LO-2 Explains the distribution of diseases and health conditions in society by using the relationship between agent, environment, and host. LO-3 The student who takes the course realizes the health development of the society with an epidemiological approach while giving care to the individual. LO-4 Understands the importance of keeping records and observations made in the clinic and in the field in the conduct of epidemiological studies. LO-5 Understands the relationship between epidemiological studies and statistics.
