Course Objectives This course contains information about the responsibilities of healthcare professionals in rational drug practices.
Course Content Forms of Drugs; Absorption, distribution, metabolism and Excretion of Drugs, Interactions Between Drugs (Antagonism, Synergism), Mechanisms of Drugs; Drugs Affecting Autonomic Nervous System (Cholinergic Drugs, Anticholinergic Drugs, Sympathomimetic Drugs, Sympatholytic Drugs); Drugs Affecting Central Nervous System, Drugs Affecting Cardiovascular System, Antiinflammatory Drugs, Narcotic Analgesics, Rational Drug Use.
Learning Outcomes (LO) LO-1- To know the nurses the drugs to be administered LO-2-. To know the health workers and nurses rational drug use LO-3- To be able to comprehend the responsibility of health workers and nurses in drug use LO -4- To know the nurses drug compositions LO-5- To know the nurses to have knowledge about their responsibilities in drug administration LO-6- To have a general knowledge of our country's drug supply and use policies LO-7- To know the nurses to have knowledge about drug preparation LO-8- To have knowledge about the interaction of drugs LO-9 – To have knowledge about the pharmaceutical effect of drugs LO-10-To have knowledge to prevent complications that may occur in drug administration.
