Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to enable students to evaluate and evaluate the normal growth and developmental characteristics and health deviations according to the systems in the period of 0-18 years in the frame of holistic nursing approach and to be able to intervene in nursing. |
Course Content |
In this course students are informed about the normal growth and development of 0-18 age group and deviations from the whole health and skills are gained with the applications in related fields. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The achievements of the students who take this course and successfully complete it are as follows:
LO-1. They can use the knowledge they have taken in basic medicine courses in the field of pediatric nursing.
LO-2. Can explain the growth and development characteristics of the child's age periods
LO-3. A healthy child can follow up.
LO-4. Defines the basic concepts of pediatric nursing.
LO-5. Evaluate the factors affecting child health in the world and in Turkey.
LO-6. Provide evidence-based care to the child and his family in line with the nursing process, taking into account the age periods.
LO-7. In the care process for the child and his family, he can use effective communication skills by taking into account the age periods.
LO-8. Determine the problems for the child and family in the field of nursing and decide the appropriate intervention.
LO-9. It can provide health education and counseling in protecting, improving and maintaining child and family health and in cases where health deteriorates.
LO-10. Can research new developments in Child Health and participate in research.
