Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to try to explain the physical and chemical factors of physiology, which are responsible for the beginning, development and progression of life, as well as its unique qualities and mechanisms that provide vitality. |
Course Content |
In this course, basic theories and researches in the field of human physiology; The concept of homeostasis, the functions of systems, organs, tissues and cells as well as their interactions with each other is introduced. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of the semester will acquire the followings
LO-1 Recognizes the basic concepts and research areas of physiology.
LO-2 Recognizes the fluids circulating in the human body and the functions of these fluids.
LO-3 Recognize the concept of excitable cells, the structure, and the functions of cells.
LO-4 Recognizes the human muscle and nervous system and their interactions with each other.
LO-5 Explains the elements of the heart and circulatory system, their functions, and their control by regulatory and supervisory systems.
LO-6 Evaluates the functional structure of the airways, respiratory muscles, and lungs.
LO-7 Evaluate the functional structure of the excretory system, its functions, and its relationship with the circulatory system.
LO-8 Explain the functional structure and functions of the digestive system.
LO-9 Defines the endocrine system and explains the systemic effects of some special hormones.
LO-10 Defines the functional structure of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system and explains its effects on other systems.
LO-11 Recognize the sensory nervous system and sensory organs.
LO-12 Describes the detection and feedback of various alerts.
LO-13 It can measure the health levels of respiratory function tests, heart, brain, and muscle electrographs, cardiovascular system indicators such as blood pressure and heart rate.
LO-14 Evaluates the stress situation, abnormal conditions, vital signs.
