Course Objectives The aim of this course is to strengthen the knowledge and skills learned in HEM202 Surgical Nursing course by applying them in the hospital environment.
Course Content This course includes the diagnosis of hospitalized patients in surgical clinics, planning, implementation and evaluation of their care, and preparing a daily report.
Learning Outcomes (LO) At the end of this course, the student; LO1. List the priorities by defining the surgical patients' problems. LO2. Plan the patient care for these problems. LO3. Implement nursing interventions for the planned care. LO4. Evaluate the nursing practices and prepares daily reports. LO5. Gain competent to communicate positively with the surgical team, patient and him/his relatives.
