Course Objectives |
The objective of this course is to make the students know that the basic element of their professional life is “human” and also to apprehend the properties of this most evolved and complicated organism and the source of his behaviours and the basic elements required for accurate communication as well to use these informations in the practice. |
Course Content |
In the introduction to psychology course, the main fields of study of psychology as a basic science will be introduced at the introductory level, the history of psychology, methods used in psychology research, perception, attention, memory, learning, development, personality, abnormal behaviors, and stress will be presented. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
At the end of this course students are expected to;
LO1- Define basic psychology terms.
LO2- Define the history of the science of psychology and the subfields of it.
LO3- Explain and discuss the research methods in psychology.
LO4- Use the information they’ve acquired from this course in planning patient care and to consider psychological features when planning research.
