Course Objectives The course named "Philosophy of Education" aims to learn various concepts related to philosophy, to establish and keep alive the ability to think critically by recognizing the reflections of these concepts on the world of life, and to examine and examine them from a philosophical perspective along with the implementation processes of an existing curriculum.
Course Content The course called "Philosophy of Education" includes teaching the basic concepts about philosophy, examining the connection of philosophy with education and its reflections on education, taking into account the views of various philosophers on education.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Those who take this course and successfully complete it are expected to acquire the following achievements: 1. Will be able to explain concepts related to general and educational philosophy. 2. Will be able to explain the functions, types and relations of philosophy with various social institutions. 3. Knows the basic philosophical movements and can discuss related educational philosophies. 4. Can evaluate an existing curriculum and its management processes in terms of educational philosophies.

2. Week Basic subjects and problem areas of philosophy; existence, knowledge, moral/value philosophy and education.
3. Week Basic philosophical currents and education from the perspective of some philosophers: Idealism and realism
4. Week Basic philosophical movements and education from the perspective of some philosophers: Naturalism
5. Week Basic philosophical currents and education from the perspective of some philosophers: Empiricism and rationalism
6. Week Basic philosophical movements and education from the perspective of some philosophers: Pragmatism
7. Week Basic philosophical movements and education from the perspective of some philosophers: Existentialism and analytic philosophy
