Course Objectives The main purpose of the course is to teach students the multidimensionality of language and the basic concepts of language acquisition and use, and in this way to contribute to their awareness that language teaching cannot be limited to just teaching grammar.
Course Content As a continuation of the Linguistics I course, the subjects of language-society, language-culture, language acquisition, pragmatics, discourse analysis will be discussed, and the functioning of language beyond the structural level will be examined.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The achievements of students who complete and succeed in this course are as follows; LO-1 Gains a more holistic view of language LO-2 Becomes aware of the language-socio-culture relationship LO-3 Evaluates the basic deficiencies in language learning and teaching more consciously.
