Course Objectives |
To gain the ability to identify similarities and differences by comparing the basic concepts of comparative education, the Turkish Education System, the education systems of countries or the system of a country with the education system of other countries. |
Course Content |
The course covers the theoretical framework of comparative education, its historical process, purpose, educational approaches, ways of conducting comparative education research, examining the education systems of countries and comparing them with the Turkish Education System. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The student taking this course - Explains the basic concepts in comparative education - Understands the historical process and purposes of comparative education - Explains comparative education approaches - Explains the way comparative education research is conducted - Explains the aims, policies, administrative and school system structuring of the Turkish education System - Explains the education systems of different countries. - Compares the education systems of different countries with the Turkish Education system within the scope of purpose, structure and process dimensions. |
