Course Objectives This course aims at developing students' understanding of sociolinguistic concepts and theories and their relevance to language teaching. In this regard, they are expected to promote cultural sensitivity and awareness in language teaching, addressing the needs of diverse language learners. Also, they will develop an awareness of language policies and their impact on language education.
Course Content This course includes the investigation of concepts related to sociolinguistics and language teaching.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Students will exhibit a deep understanding of sociolinguistic concepts and their practical application in language teaching. Students will be able to design and implement effective language instruction that considers language variations and social contexts.
