Course Objectives The aim of this course is to be able to create a suitable program for children by examining different program types, to teach grammar and vocabulary by using stories for learning purposes. To prepare a lesson plan using four skills, grammar and vocabulary.
Course Content Different types of curriculum (story-based, content-based, theme-based, task-based) for early learner groups (5-12 years old); effective use of children's literature in the chosen curriculum type, classroom management, language presentation and exercises.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The achievements of students who complete and succeed in this course are as follows; LO-1 Uses second language teaching methods effectively such as songs, games, cut and paste activities, multiple intelligence theory and storytelling. LO-2 Gains the ability to portray various topics by improvising and role playing. LO-3At the end of the course, students will not only have theoretical knowledge, but will also be able to put theory into practice through material adaptation, development and patterning, as well as creating programs by writing units.
