Course Objectives |
Ensuring that students acquire theories, concepts and practices regarding measurement and evaluation tools, methods and techniques used in education. |
Course Content |
The place and importance of measurement and evaluation in education, basic concepts related to measurement and evaluation, the desired qualities of measurement tools (reliability, validity, usefulness); Measurement tools and their features used in education, tools based on traditional approaches (written exams, short answer exams, true-false type tests, multiple choice tests, paired tests, oral examinations, homework), tools to get to know the student in a versatile way (observation, interview, performance evaluation, student product portfolio, research papers, research projects, peer evaluation, self-evaluation, attitude scales), basic statistical operations on measurement results, evaluation of learning outcomes, grading, developing measurement tools related to the field. |
