Course Objectives |
Faculty of education graduates are expected to have the capacity to carry out the scientific research process. The aim of the science and research ethics course is to contribute to raising graduates who can distinguish scientific knowledge and comply with ethical principles at every stage of the research process. |
Course Content |
Science, the nature of science, its development and scientific research; the concept of ethics and ethical theories; research and publication ethics; unethical behavior and ethical violations during the research process; ethical issues regarding authorship and copyright; biased publication, editing, refereeing and ethics; publication ethics and unethical behavior in the publication process; legal legislation and boards regarding research and publication ethics; Ways to follow in detecting ethical violations; common research and publication ethics violations and methods to prevent them |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The student, 1.understands scientific research, ethics and ethical theories. 2. Understands research and publication ethics and unethical behavior and ethical violations in the research and publication process. 3. knows the ethical issues regarding authorship and copyright. 4. Knows the legal regulations and boards regarding research and publication ethics. 5. Knows the methods to be followed in detecting ethical violations. 6. Have knowledge about common research and publication ethics violations and methods to prevent them. |
