Course Objectives This course aims to enable students to prepare lesson plans consisting of short activities lasting 15 minutes, carry them out in a controlled classroom environment, and reflect on their practices based on video recording.
Course Content Basic concepts and principles of effective teaching and learning; teachers' professional competence, attitudes, roles and behaviors; preparing lesson plans; scope, benefits and limitations of the microteaching method; preparing active learning activities appropriate to the subject; sample teaching practices in the classroom; videotaping lecture presentations; Evaluating the course using recordings; Development of prepared activities and lectures.
Learning Outcomes (LO) By the end of the course, prospective teachers will develop: 1. An understanding of the basic principles of effective teaching and learning, 2. An understanding of the teacher's professional competencies, attitudes, roles and behaviors, 3. An understanding of themselves in terms of planning, preparation and execution of the lesson, 4. An understanding of self-reflection. 5. reflective teaching skills.
