Course Objectives This course focuses on the characteristics of Turkish and aims to provide students the rules and the basic knowledge about Turkish.
Course Content This course provides development in the awareness of Turkish and emphasizes the importance of language - thought relationship.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- to define the language concept, 2- to have an idea about the languages in the world, 3- to express themselves correctly, 4- to prepare official documents, 5- to have oral or written presentation.

3. Week Mother tongue, official language, accent, dialect, jargon and special languages (professional and group languages), daily language and pronunciation of Turkish
