Course Objectives The course aims to examine the conceptual framework and historical development dynamics of international social policy, the institutional structures and features that determine international social policy, and the role of national and supranational governance structures in the formation of current social policy. In addition, other objectives of the course are to analyze the socio-economic problems and changes that arise with its global dimension and to develop solution strategies for these problems by the aid of international social policy actors and social policy instruments.
Course Content Development dynamics of international social policy, institutional analysis of global and regional governance mechanisms that determine international social policy, content, implementation and supervision of international labor norms, global socio-economic problems and solution proposals, the relationship between globalization and international social policy and Turkey's place in international social policy constitute the content of the course.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Students taking the International Social Policy course; 1. Learn the conceptual, historical and institutional background of international social policy. 2. Gain the ability to analyze global socio-economic problems and develop solutions. 3. Comprehend the international dimension of Social Policy through various institutional actors. 4. Have information about Turkey's position in the international social policy order.
