Course Objectives Introducing the structure, power and political approach of USA.Analysing working conditions, difficulties and danger cooperated with the power mentioned. Teaching the major points about national benefits of Turkey.
Course Content Presentation, basic structure of foreign policy of USA, its influence on world policy and its integration with world policy and its global impact.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1. Identifying political, social and economical structure of USA. 2. Identifying national, regional and global objectives of USA and understanding the importance of this for Turkey. 3. Identifying the activities of the United States in Asia and in Middle East, analysing the objectives and patterns behind them and gaining the ability to determine the direction of it.

1. Week Identifying the structure of U.S., recognize sources, purposes and methods of the people coming to North U.S.
2. Week Era of colonization, revolt to England and foundation of U.S.
3. Week Enlargement in north america continent and political events: North-south discramination war.
4. Week Yielding units of country, participation of California, Texas, Florida and Alaska to the territory.
5. Week Increase of influence and involvement of USA in Mexico and Central America and various approaches.
6. Week Struggle with Cuba, relation between South America states and USA, cooperations and problems.
7. Week Political Approach and Strategies that are employed by the USA President towards South America
8. Week Protrude to the seas: Japan, world war II, U.S.'s interference to European Politics.
9. Week World War II, battle of Communism, Fascism and Liberalism: Construction oft he bipolar world.
10. Week Adventures of USA and Asia: Korea, Vietnam wars and helping to Afghanistan.
11. Week Contention between USA and Iran, Gulf War I.
12. Week Gulf War I and II, the impact of USA in Middle East.
13. Week USA as a global power: its problems, alliance and last progress.
14. Week General Review & Discussion.
