Course Objectives Comprehend & apply how international relations function, as well as how the factors and agents affect each other.
Course Content Teaching the basic concepts, actors and phenomenon in international relations and the functioning of the system through different angles.

1. Week Basic concepts of international relations: Politics, State and Sovereignty
2. Week Nation and Nationalism and International Politics and Foreign Policy
3. Week The concept of an actor, the main actors, groups, international corporations
4. Week Level of analysis issues in international politics and theory: Actor, the system-level studies of regional and functional
5. Week Problem and the schools of theory: empirical, normative and general theories of international politics and their implementation
6. Week Schools in the field of international politics: the history of diplomacy, the idealistic perspective and political realism
7. Week Behavioral trends and pluralistic perspective; structural and radical perspectives; North-South dialogue, center-periphery relations
8. Week New developments in the international arena: the New Liberalism, Idealism, realism, neo-post-cold war international relations, sociology, critical approach, the left opposition, the new Marxism, post-modernism
9. Week The concept of power in international politics, Power analysis, elements, capacity, effects, measurement
10. Week Phases of decision making and international politics.: Process, options, individuals, groups, effects, internal and external factors affecting the process
11. Week Foreign policy analysis of the relationship between internal and external policy, the correlation concept, a variety of paradigms and perspectives
12. Week International politics, foreign policy strategies states: neutrality, isolationism and types, disconnection strategy, styles and effects of its implementation
13. Week States' foreign policy tools: diplomacy, diplomatic privileges and immunities, propaganda, diplomatic measures, economic impact, financial impact tools, ways of military action, war
