Course Objectives |
The course aims to examine the regional and global policies of the Russian Federation, to scrutinize the relations of the Russian Federation with the Central Asian countries and to analyze the strategic position of the Central Asian Countries in the context of world politics. |
Course Content |
The course provides analysis of the Russian Federation’s role as an international power in world politics, comparison of its role with the Cold War era, its relations with the Central Asian countries, and political, economic, strategic and energy-related importance of Central Asia in world politics. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings;
1. To evaluate regional and global policies of the Russian Federation,
2. To analyze the relations between Russia and Central Asian countries
3. To approach the Central Asian countries in the context of world politics.
