Course Objectives |
Main objectives of the course are to provide students with the strategic and historical knowledge on Asia and Pacific Region under the light of International Relations Discipline and to analyse political and economic positions of Asia and Pacific Region in both Cold War period and contemporary global politics in a critical manner. |
Course Content |
The course basically includes history of China from ancient times to today, Chinese foregin policy, China's position in contemporary international order, and at the same time the course addresses political and economic structure of Pacific Region with a specific interest on Japan and Korea and examines the position of the region in global political and economic contexts. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
1) Having ability to make strategic and critical analysis on role of Asia and Pacific Region in international order;
2) Having ability to get analytical knowledge on political and economic structure of Asia and Pacific Region;
3) Having ability to observe main political and economic issues regarding Asia and Pacific Region;
4) Having ability to make future projections related with Asia and Pacific Region within the basic conceptual framework of International Relations Discipline and conjuncture of global politics. |
