Course Objectives In this course, it is aimed to give students a strategic management perspective and to enable them to use this perspective.
Course Content The scope of this course includes the strategic management process and components , enviromental analysis, manipulation, application and control methods used in businesses.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1 –will be able to know about the concepts related to strategies preferred by firms which tend to be operate in the long term, 2- will be able to have the strategic management ability, 3- will be able to analyze the external and internal environment of the firms and manipulate this to gain competitive advantage, 4- will be able to make evaluations, analyses and synthesises for the basic managerial activities of enterprises in a strategic sense by observing the understanding of professional knowledge and responsibility in enterprises and making the most of the information about other disciplines that form the basis of business management. 5. will be able to prepare and present case analysis by strategic management perspective for businesses.

3. Week 03 External environment analysis, general environment analysis, sector/business analysis, techniques used for external environment analysis
4. Week 04 Firm analysis, assets and abilities of the firms, value chain analysis, critical success analysis and analysis used for firm analysis
5. Week 05 Measuring environmental elements and situational matrix
6. Week 06 Strategic manipulation, mission, vision, goals and targets of the firms
7. Week 07 Basic strategies (growth, decline, constant and mixed)
8. Week 08 Basic strategies (growth, decline, constant and mixed)
9. Week 09 Top management strategies – corporate strategies and used techniques / case study solution
10. Week 10 Top management strategies – competition strategies – used techniques / case study solutions
