Course Objectives The aim is to examine the factors affecting educational activities in the school environment that may arise from the student or the environment, and to examine how these can affect student mental health.
Course Content Child and adolescent development, mental health, factors affecting mental health, negative behaviors that may be seen in children and adolescents, coping with factors that may affect mental health at school, and intervention techniques for negative situations that may occur in the school environment.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1.Define mental health; describe the characteristics of individuals with mental health; know normal and abnormal behavior criteria. 2.Explains the genetic, biological and psychosocial factors affecting mental health. 3.Explains the views of various theoretical approaches on the causes and correction of emotional and behavioral disorders. 4.Knows the symptoms of various emotional and behavioral problems in children. 5.Explain the causes of various emotional and behavioral problems in children. 6.Describe the characteristics that differentiate mental health from childhood. 7.Discusses suggestions for families and teachers on prevention and correction of various emotional and behavioral problems in children.
