Course Objectives • Improve and reinforce the basic language skills of university students in accordance with their level and needs. • Teach the importance of using the elements of language appropriately and what correct and suitable expression is. • Teach effective communication skills to individuals and especially teach them the features of mother tongue. • Teach to criticize, question, interpret and think in a creative way.
Course Content This course aims to improve language skills that is a base for the communication between people and groups, teach the basic structures and practices of Turkish, teach this language both for written and oral purposes and help students of Teaching Faculty in order to bring up youth with the perception of mother tongue.
Learning Outcomes (LO) • Using their mother tongue correctly and efficiently in order to communicate and comprehend better • Improving vocabulary with the help of texts • Gaining the skill of presentation in front of the others and expressing himself/herself in a clear way • Being active in workshops and presentations, having sense of mission • Using Turkish Language in accordance with the spelling rules in his/her academic works such as thesis(undergraduate, master, PhD • Having skill of comprehending, assessment and summarizing a research • Writing scientific texts including content, findings and interpretation • Learning and practising academic writing process, ethic principles, and rules of bibliography • Learning and practise operative texts such as petitition, written report and Cv with rules
