| Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to help students gain general information about group counseling, as well as to gain knowledge and skills about the principles and techniques of group counseling, the counseling process, and the skills and techniques used in the group. |
| Course Content |
Basic concepts and principles of group counseling, group counseling process, group counseling skills and techniques, stages of the group, working with groups for different problems and age periods. |
| Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attends and are successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings:
1. Understanding the aims of group counseling and applying it
2. Recognizing the differences and similarities between individual and group counseling
3. Understanding the process and stages of group counseling
4. Understanding the benefits and limitations of group counseling
5. Techniques that can be used in group counseling
6. Understanding the ethical principles of group counseling |
