Course Objectives Theories of multicultural family counselling , comparison of local cultural characteristics with the cultures in the theories were developed; considering different cultural backgrounds as a wealth when working with the families; reflecting counsellor competencies to practice
Course Content Culture,cultural diversity, the need for culturally sensitive counseling , history of culturally sensitive counseling, theories of multicultural family counseling
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attends and are successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings: 1. Understanding culture and related concepts 2. Understanding differences between individualistic and collective cultures 3. Understanding multicultural counselling competencies 4. Learning theories of multicultural counseling
